A Grey Filled Wall On Revit Floor Plan

Click annotate tabcolor fill panel legend. One containing the exterior finish the other containing the rest of the wall. Open a floor plan view or section view. If you had a masonry wall you might want the cut pattern to reflect that.

Click the edit button for the view range. In the choose space type and color scheme dialog select the space type and color scheme and click ok. Architects like to show walls solid filled and you can do this using the coarse filled parameter inside of a revit wall type. One option to accomplish this would be to create existing wall types and those could have a gray solid fill.

In plan view click view menu view properties. The new walls now show up heavy black outline with grey fill. I ve got the plans phased and on the existing phase the existing walls are filled black but on the new they show up as outlined. To prevent the floor or slab from being visible in plan view you need to adjust the bottom clip so that it is more than 4 feet above the floor or slab and set the view depth so that it does not include any part of the floor or slab.

Click in the drawing area to place the color fill legend. In a default project walls have no fill pattern so in your section your walls will have a white fill when printed. Revit offers a lot of control over what is displayed. Then set the exterior finish to be demolished.

But i only want to gray out the walls of the existing building. In the new plan we add the new exterior finish that display as white over the existing grey wall. I then went into v g to override the cut pattern to solid grey. Hi all still working on the schematic design and we want our existing walls to be shaded grey and the new walls to be shaded black.

If i create a filter to show existing and new revit considers everything from phase 1 phase 6 to be existing. Place the color fill legend anywhere in the drawing area to describe the color scheme used in the view.
